WATER CYCLE
Water cycle Flocabulary Rap
Condensation: gas (water vapor) to a liquid (water droplets)- the hot air, cools and condenses into water droplets
Ex: clouds, dew drops, fog, fog on mirror after a steamy shower, fogged up windows on your car
Precipitation: water gets too heavy and falls
1. Raindrops keep fallin' on my head- Example of preciptation
2. Bambi- drip drip drop little april showers
Evaporation: liquid water to a gas (water vapor)- water gets heated up and excited and turns into a gas

WEATHER TOOLS
The suffix "-meter" means "to measure"
Barometer- measures air pressure - here's how to read a barometer
Hygrometer- measures humidity
Weather Balloon- temperature, humidity and air pressures are measured to predict the weather for the day
Weather balloons carry instrument packages called radiosondes high into the atmosphere that gather essential upper-air data needed to forecast the weather. These instruments are launched twice a day at 1,100 sites around the world. Temperature, humidity and air pressure are measured at various altitudes and transmitted via radio waves to a receiving station. Radio navigation supplies wind speed and direction at each altitude.
Wind Vane and Wind Sock- measure wind direction
Anemometer- measures wind speed- how to make an easy anemometer ; here's a weather station with working anemometer
and here's an anemometer in a wind tunnel- up to 230 mph
Thermometer- measures temperature- practice reading thermometers- game
Rain Gauge- measures amount of rainfall
