Malaysia Bioblitz at Penang Hill with JASON Learning
Mrs. Cotten will be in Malaysia from October 22-27. She is traveling with JASON Learning, an online resource for teachers that helps connect students with real scientists in the field. She was asked by JASON Learning to help facilitate the learning of the students on the expedition. She will also communicate with students back home, sharing what she learns along the way. JASON Learning describes the Malaysia Bioblitz saying,
"Dozens of scientists from across the globe will be doing a massive survey on the bugs, plants, animals, and trees to better understand the pristine ecosystem in and around Penang Hill. Their work will help conserve this important resource, and could lead to a UNESCO World Heritage designation. Join us on this virtual expedition! We will be sharing videos, virtual 360s, pictures, and posts every day, and will be working with the science teams to answer as many of your questions as we can from the rainforest." Follow along in the exploration and discovery with the links below: JASON Learning Social Media Links are all listed on their website: jason.org/bioblitz Hannah Cotten’s Science Class Social Media Links: Instagram: @mrs.cotten YouTube: Hannah Neal Twitter: @MsNeal1 |
