Choose which type of scientist you would like to research and maybe even become some day: Archeologist Astronomer Biologist Botanist Chemist Clinical Research Associate Ecologist Environmentalist Geologist Health Care Professional Meteorologist Market Research Analyst Paleontologist Pharmacist Physician Physicist Seismologist Software Engineer Zoologist In your group, use the chart paper to divide into 3 sections and label including the scientist/science you want to learn about: History of ______________Careers in__________, and Famous _________ For example: History of Astronomy, Careers in Astronomy, and Famous Astronomers. Use the library or Web sources to research this topic. You can choose how to record your research (google doc, science notebook, paper, chart, table). After gathering information, examine an evaluate the date. Then complete the chart to display your research findings and share with the class. If you haven't figured it out yet, I love science! It's my favorite! I also love animals. We will be learning so many cool things this year! Here's a general outline of what to expect: Mrs. Salome teaches Math. Mr. Wilder teaches Language Arts and Social Studies. I teach Science. You'll have about 1 hour 20 minutes per class with breaks in between. Here's your schedule for the year. (Salome and Wilder homerooms, you have the same schedule, only you start with your homeroom teacher and then travel counter clockwise in the commons to your other two teachers.
