Mrs. Cotten will be gone for half of the day to attend a professional development class about how to use technology in the classroom. Here are links that will help with the science lesson. Wednesday UNEVEN HEATING OF THE EARTH what causes wind Bill Nye- Wind Energy on the earth Uneven heating of earth images COLD/WARM FRONTS- Cold and Warm Front Cold and Warm Fronts Animation of Fronts High Pressure= fair clear skies Low Pressure= rain or bad weather Why? Air Pressure explained High and Low Pressure | Mrs. Cotten will be gone for most of Friday for the Legacy of Giving Day of Service for our coat and can drive. She will be taking several students with her to help unload all the donations we collected. Below are helpful links for the Science and Social Studies lessons. Friday SCIENCE: WATER CYCLE Water cycle Flocabulary Rap Condensation: gas (water vapor) to a liquid (water droplets)- the hot air, cools and condenses into water droplets Ex: clouds, dew drops, fog, fog on mirror after a steamy shower, fogged up windows on your car Precipitation: water gets too heavy and falls Evaporation: liquid water to a gas (water vapor)- water gets heated up and excited and turns into a gas SOCIAL STUDIES: LAND BRIDGE prehistoric animals video Herbivores prehistoric animals video 2 Predators Bering Straight Theory Land Bridge |

Force is when you’re pushing or pulling. To push means to have gravity when pulling down force toward the center of the planet , moon , or sun. To pull is almost the complete opposite.
The three laws of motion are also known as Newton’s laws. The first law is Inertia: objects in motion will stay in motion, objects at rest will stay at rest until outside force acts upon it. The second law is F= MA: this stands for friction equals mass and acceleration. The third law is equal and opposite: an example is that for a balloon if you let it go the air goes out one way and the balloon goes the other. NEWTONS LAWS OF MOTION
