Today commemorates the events that happened on September 11, 2001. Even though you were not born in 2001, it is important to remember this tragic event. September 11, 2001 marked a frightening and sad time for the people living in the United States and around the world. Many people died in New York City, Virginia, and Pennsylvania that morning. These deaths were the result of horrible choices made by a small number of individuals who disagreed with U.S. policies. The events of September 11th shocked the world. People everywhere, and of all ages, sent cards, gifts, and money. Many came to New York City to offer help.
